Sustainability

Discover our vision and strategy for a sustainable company and sustainable activities.

01. Our vision

TUC RAIL takes a structured and integrated approach to sustainability in all its projects. Key commitments include:

  • Embedding sustainability in TUC RAIL’s DNA, including carbon strategy and sustainable innovation.
  • Corporate culture focused on sustainable development, with committed leadership.
  • Commitment to sustainability throughout the project life cycle.

    02. Our strategy

Our strategy is based on four axes aligned with the three ESG pillars (Environment, Social, Governance):

    • Net Zero Carbon (E)
Goal: achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
Examples of actions: Monitoring CO2 emissions linked to our energy consumption, implementation of a reduction plan with intermediate deadlines.

    • Eco-design (E)
Integrating sustainability in all phases of our projects.
Examples of actions: Environmental performance assessment, climate resilience, application of circular economy principles, requirements to reduce CO2 emissions in the value chain.

    • Sustainable DNA (S)
Adopting a culture of sustainability and improving employee well-being.
Examples of actions: Promoting diversity, safety at work, changing mindset and behaviour.

    • Sustainable Leadership (G)
      Regulatory compliance and sustainable management.
Examples of actions: ISO 14001, CSRD rapports, developing sustainable leadership.

    03. Concrete examples of achievements

    Environmental management system (ISO 14001)

Implementing an environmental management system for all our activities, including risk analyses and actions to reduce the impact on our sites.

    Eco-design methodology

Developing a methodology with an internal Eco-screening tool to integrate sustainability right from the start of projects, by applying the principles of the circular economy and considering environmental challenges.

    CO2 performance ladder (CO2PL)

Since 2023, TUC RAIL has been using the CO2PL certification system as an award criterion to encourage contractors to reduce CO2 emissions on construction sites. In short, the contractor analyses the specific emission sources on site and draws up a reduction plan with concrete actions.

    Net Zero Carbon action plan

To achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, we are implementing actions to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from our scopes 1 and 2.

Examples: adapting our mobility policy (electric vehicles, mobility budget) and reducing energy consumption in buildings (optimising workplaces, solar panels).
